Disneyland trip 12-1-13 through 12-7-13

The girls on Luigi's flying tires.  (in my opinion a lame ride)

The new Cars Land

Christmas Tree on Buena Vista Street

Mickey's Fun Wheel.  It was my first ride.  Scarier than anticipated.

Astro Orbitor

Rylee kept insisting that I take her picture with "this face".  This is on our way out of pirates of the caribbean.

The castle is awesome all lit up

Jedi Training Academy
Our signs worked for Ethan and Logan.  Alyson didn't get chosen, but when we went on Star Tours she was the "rebel spy."

Logan kicking Darth Vader's butt.

Ethan took on Darth Maul.

Ethan's favorite the Mad Hatter.  So excited we saw this not so common character.

Apparently, Aurora was the favorite.

I love this picture of the kids with their grandparents. Thanks for coming with us Grandma and Grandpa!

Ethan was also excited about the Olaf snowman.  He was pretty funny.

Rylee and Alyson peeking out of a leftover Halloween decoration.

Grandpa is so sneaky.

This is our view from the Riverboat on our last day, Friday.  Disneyland was packed!

At the home and still insisting we take her picture "like this."

Alyson's Birthday

It seems impossible that Alyson is twelve!  It feels like she should still be a baby.  She's very excited about this birthday.  She's excited to be out of primary and in YW with me.  She wanted Mickey Mouse stuff for her birthday.  She has been a collector since our first trip to Disneyland.  So for her birthday cake she wanted Mickey Mouse.  She's turning into an awesome young lady and I'm excited to watch her grow through the exciting teen years.
She also wanted art supplies.

Rylee kept trying to claim one of the bags as "hers." She was devastated to discover they were all for Alyson.  Alyson took pity on her and let her help with the last one.

Alyson and her Mickey stuff.  If you look at her forehead you'll see a goose egg that she got from playing tag with her eyes closed.
 L. O. L !

Here is a close up of her necklaces.  The gold one is her recently earned "Faith in God" award.  The silver is a Mickey necklace to add to her collection.

Mickey Mouse cake.  Not my worst work. She wanted a Mickey Mouse on a purple cake.  The box of food coloring didn't have a recipe for purple.  I made one up but it turned out kind of weirdly gray.

Alyson is a wonderful daughter and we love her a lot.  Happy Birthday Alyson!
